In the majority of cases, the main reason we have in the past been asked to convert a bathroom to a shower room, is when bathing starts to get difficult for someone in the home. When getting in and out of the bath has become a major chore, requiring supervision, or indeed is impossible without help, or when the risk of injury due to slipping or falling has become a real concern, then it really is time to consider a shower conversion. High-sided bathtubs can be a real problem for the less mobile and the elderly, and indeed anyone with aching joints, arthritis, or after knee or hip replacement surgery. The answer is a walk-in shower cubicle fitted with conveniently placed grab rails and, if need be, a dedicated fold-up/down shower seat. Bathing really doesn't have to be a chore! We supply a 1200 x 700 walk in shower tray with 1200 glass screen to fit in place of your existing bath tub. We then install aqua panels to your wall finish to suit the new shower, with different colour choices to suit your home & style. All this done in 1 day from £1500.00 (local clients) Hopefully you already have a shower, if not there will be an extra charge to install one, simple! NOTE: It is possible to have a new shower tray installed directly on to floor boards, which incurs a extra step up of a couple of inches. We know it is good plumbing practice to leave a suitable access point to the shower waste trap. This allows for the waste trap to be checked & maintained.
